GUI2 is designed to use ExifTool(command line driven) to Control the Output in a way that gives Structure to the Location and Naming of files generated. i.e. DIRectories[Folders] created will be Sub DIRectories[Folders] off location where Digital Images being processed are located. digiKam and other image organizers are perfect for viewing and tagging images one by one. But if you need to move, copy, rename, reorganize, extract preview jpegs, and/or tag hundreds or thousands of images at once, ExifTool is the tool of choice. Example ExifTool commands are given for copying, moving, renaming, and other bulk metadata and image file operations. exiftool is a program for extracting Exif metadata from different file formats. Metadata shown may vary depending on the file type, and given the nature of Exif metadata, some fields may appear or not. If you want it to overwrite the original picture, add -overwrite_original_in_place to the exiftool command line.
